Summer Fun Challenge

Last summer, we did a challenge where we tried to do something fun every day during  the last month before the kids went back to school.  I was tired of the kids just laying around all day, everyday, while summer was quickly slipping away.

Since the kids are getting older way too fast, we are going to do it again.  This year, though, we are going to do it the entire summer.  While we know that it might not be possible to do something fun every single day, we are going to do our best to make this  summer vacation something to remember.

Here are some of the more memorable moments from last year

getting rained on while picking blueberries

watching outdoor movies at the mall

going to the zoo

\
free bowling

spending the day at Frankenmuth

making Smores over a campfire after a pool party

I have asked the kids to come up with 20-30 things that they would like to do this summer.  Here are some of the things we hope to do.

Ride Gatekeeper at Cedar Point
the beach
the zoo
Lake Michigan
spemd the day at the fair
Frankenmuth
swim
pick fruit
make ice cream
have a party
have a picnic
See Monsters University
See Despeciable Me 2
go on a boat ride
see fireworks
go to Six Flags

and many more..

What do you like to do with your kids on summer break?
