1st Day of School

Today is the first day of school in my state.   I love that we don't go back until after Labor Day, but then it always makes for a busy Labor Day.    All 3 of my kids changed schools today, so it may take a bit to get into our new routines.

One thing that I have done the last few years is have each of the hold a paper with their grade on it. It is so much easier to figure out which year is which when looking at the pictures, since they are geting to  the ages when it all blends together.   I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly the morning went today.   I had one on one time with each one of them, and everyone cooperated with pictures.   I did realize until after downloading my pics, I missed getting one of Kara by herself with her #5.  I can do that when she gets home.   I was also able to get walking pictures of each one on their way to the bus stop or school

Its dark when the high schoolers have to get on the bus.   Doesnt she look thrilled.  LOL!

This is how my son really feels about going back.  He won't admit it, but he did show some excitement this morning.  He is really looking foward to  Robotics class. Not the rest of the classes, just Robotics and maybe Discovery.

His way of  telling me to stop taking pictures already.

I know she was nervous this morning, but I think once she gets to school and mets the new kids, she will have fun. She also already knows she has a handful of friends in her class.   I can't believe how fast she grew up!

Now that I am on my own for the day, I have so much to catch up on.  On todays agenda.. several loads of laundry, make a grocery list (didnt have much for lunches today) and file several weeks worth  of coupons.  I might even try to sneak in a small nap.  I was up most of the night, and then the high schooler woke me up at 3 am  and  5:45am   YAWN! .  I am so not a morning person, so it will take some time to get used to the early mornings again.
