Dare to Share #340

It is Friday night, and you know what that means!!
It is time to Dare to Share!

This weekend I am going to be having a "Friendsgiving" with a few of my friends.  We also like to call it Orphan Thanksgiving.  My best friend and I have been doing this for a few of the holidays.. Thanksgiving, Easter and occasionally Christmas.  Both of us have family that lives too far away to see very often.  We have been friends for a long time, and our kids grew up together so they are likes siblings/cousins. I call her my big sister, so we feel like we are family.  She also has a job where she has often has to work on the actual holiday, so we celebrate a few days early. This year we invited a few new people to Friendsgiving, which will make the day even more fun.  Do you have an unusual holiday tradition that you like to do?

  1. I love your Friendsgiving tradition. We do try to pay attention to whether there's anyone we know who needs a place to go, and that has yielded some very special memories.

  2. That's a great Thanksgiving tradition. One of our traditions is get the tree and decorate for Christmas over the extended Thanksgiving weekend.
