5 Minute Layered Hummus Dip - Dare to Share Feature of the Day

I chose today's Dare to Share Feature because my son LOVES hummus.  I like the idea of adding extra ingredients like Home Cooking Memories and turning it into a yummy dip.  This would be great dish to bring to Christmas and New Years Eve parties.   I love Greek salad so this combination looks very good to me.  Be sure to stop over at Home Cooking Memories for the full recipe.

Cheesy Spinach Dip with Bacon - Feature of the Day

Appetizer recipes, dip recipes

The Super Bowl is now just two days away, and people are putting the final touches on  their Super Bowl Party menus.  One recipe that I would be very excited to see at a party is this Cheesy Spinach Dip with Bacon by It's Yummi.  It has a few of my favorite foods in it. I love cheese, and I love bacon.  I also like that you can substitute Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise, and get the health benefits of the spinach.  Be sure to stop over to It's Yummi, to get this delicious recipe to serve to your friends and family.  Thank you so much Becca for linking up to Dare to Share. I can't wait to try this recipe!

Cheesy Broccoli Dip

recipe for cheesy broccoli dip

I made this dip for New Years Eve, and it was all gone by 10 p.m.  My family LOVED it.  It is simple to make,  and perfect to serve for a crowd.  This would make a great (semi-healthy) dip for the Super Bowl.

I originally found this recipe in a free entertaining booklet  from my local Meijer store. I followed the recipe for the most part, but did leave out the 2 oz jar of pimientos.  You can add them back in if desired.

You will need 1 cup of Miracle Whip.  I think  you could use Mayo instead, but the Miracle Whip gives it a nice tangy taste.

1 pkg of frozen broccoli, chopped, thawed and drained.  I just thawed it on defrost in the microwave, and then drained the liquid.

1 small 2 oz jar of pimientos    I left this ingredient out of my recipe

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup Mozzarella cheese, divided    I didn't measure, and  probably added in a bit more. We love cheese!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Mix together the Miracle Whip, broccoli, pimientos if added, Parmesan Cheese and 1/2 cup of the Mozzarella cheese.  (pictured above)

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Top with the remaining cheese (add more if desired) and bake for about 5 minutes more.

It comes out warm, cheesy and delicious!
