It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

Can you tell we had a toddler in our house? LOL! We were gone for a week over the holidays, and when our grand baby came over for the first time after we got home, she went straight to the toys in her gingerbread playhouse.  After she got out her toys, we got our hugs.

She loves her playhouse. I am debating on leaving it as is, even though it is after Christmas, or updating it  for another holiday.

I am sharing photos of my girls, because they were excited to get their Bark Bag this month. They love when they get a new one in the mail.

Are you back into your regular routine yet? I went back to work on Monday. It was nice to be back, and I missed the kids while we were out for the holidays. We did already have an unexpected day off though. Someone in another classroom tested positive for Covid, so the center closed for deep cleaning for a day as a precaution mid week.  Thankfully everyone seems to be healthy.

I went to Walmart tonight, and saw all the Valentine's Day items on sale.  There were so many cute things that I am starting to get mood to move on to the next holiday.  I have been sharing some reels about  my Valentine's Day finds, on both Instagram and TIK TOK if you would like to follow along.  I am also hoping to add a few new items for Valentine's Day to my Etsy Shop.

Are you following the football playoffs for either college or pro teams?  Neither of our teams (Ohio State and the Cincinnati Bengals)  are in the playoffs since Ohio State lost to University of Miami last week, but we are pulling for Indiana.  I am also rooting for the Buffalo Bills.  We will see what happens.

Well it is getting to be that time to get the party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It's the week after the holidays,
when you do not remember what day it is..
So Let's Dare to Share!

The last week was a very busy one.  I spent several days with my family.  The weather was CRAZY where we were. We went after Christmas shopping on the Saturday the 27th. It was an unseasonally warm day and it hit 80 degrees.  The very next day on Sunday, we had celebration with the family.  By the end of the evening, it was in the 20s.  Brrrr! It stayed cold until we left on the 30th.  We spent New Year's Eve in Michigan.  The drive north was good until we got about an hour from our final destination.  We had to drive through a pretty scary snow storm to make it the New Year's Eve dance.

Even with the bad weather, we had a pretty good turn out at the dance. We are not sure how much longer the dance will continue. They have to have a certain number of people attend for the dance to break even or make money.  Unfortunately, the dance has been losing money over the last year, and if the loss continues they may have to close.

We had made many friends at the dance over the years, so we hopefully it will continue for awhile longer.

Were you able to get any good after Christmas sales?  Walmart was at 75% off Christmas on Monday the 29th.  I bought this Christmas Bluey for my grand baby for under $6.  She LOVES it!

We got home from our trip the evening of January 1st. Since we don't really have much time off, we spent the last couple of days just relaxing and watching movies.  Because I have been so out of my routine, I totally forgot what day it was. I have been like that meme you might have seen online. I'm not sure what day it is, and full of cheese. I mentioned tonight to D that I needed to do my weekly blog party, and then I realized it was already Saturday!  Oops! I will be back to my regular routine starting Monday the 5th.

So with that, let's get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I'm sorry there was not a party last week. I was so busy, that I forgot it was Friday, and did not realize it until Sunday.  Then a few days days ago, I posted a holiday message, but I am not sure it posted. If you missed it, you can see it here.

We have been having fun this last week, doing a lot of Christmas activities.  We went to see Winterfest at Kings Island, the Christmas House in Piqua, and went to a family Christmas Party.

We are spending time with family, and enjoying the holiday season.   Our grand baby loves here new Bluey.

Well it is getting late, and I better get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!!

Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays!

I'm sorry I flaked on the Dare to Share Party this past Friday. I have been so busy I forgot what day it was, and realized I missed the party on Sunday. 🤦 Since it was already a few days late, I figured we would just skip last week and I would post one this upcoming Friday.

Here are some of a few things I have been up to this past week, and why I have been so busy.

When I was visiting my family and friends in Michigan, I visited the holiday alley in Howell.  It is always decorated in a different theme by the store owners.  There had just been a big snowfall, which made it look even more festive.

We also attended an 80th birthday for someone close to us.

During the week, we had the grand baby over a few times. I did try the viral wrapping paper photo shoot with her.  I do have a few keeper photos, but she was not really sure what thought about the paper and kept ripping it.  She wanted a picture of Snowy the snowmand while she wandered off to play.

Her gingerbread play house has been a huge hit this year. She loves it. She wasn't sure what she thought of it at first, but now she goes right in and brings out her gingerbread toys.

This past Friday was my holiday party at work. Each one of us picked a color. We wore PJs in the color we chose, and also brought snacks in that color.  My color was pink. I brought pink chocolate covered popcorn, pink wafter cookies, pink Sour Patch kids, and pink strawberry lemonade.  It was a lot of fun, and there was way more food and sweets than we could even think to eat.

This past Saturday we had a family Christmas party with D's family.  We played a few games, and had a lot of holiday food.  Each year Santa visits, and gives gifts to the kids in attendance.

On the way home from the party, we stopped to see the Christmas house. It is known for it's blow molds and festive lights. It is really neat to see in person. We will definitely go see it again.

While there I met Santa.  I asked him if I could take a picture with him, so I could show my grand baby that I have met him in person. He said definitely, and then gave me a cool coin to give to her from him.

On Sunday we went Christmas shopping, and then to Winterfest at Kings Island. I love all the lights at Winterfest.  I wish I had these gingerbread characters for my own house since I decorate in a gingerbread theme.  It was a lot colder than we thought it was going to be, but it was still fun!

Now we are just two days from Christmas, and still have so much to do.   I probably should eat some lunch, and start wrapping presents, because I have not even started yet.

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Let's Dare to Share

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

How is December almost half over already!  This weekend we are visiting family and friends in Michigan again. I also hope we can do some Christmas shopping, because there is still so much that needs to be done in the next two weeks.  I just loved this white nutcracker we saw today.

Most of our decorations are up, but not all.  I have decorated outside, but we still do not have our lights up on the house.  I need some help from D who is much taller than me with the ladder etc.. I am barely over 5 feet, and he is a foot taller. It's much easier for me to decorate closer to the ground.  I did have a few more things on the front porch but it was really windy recently and I took some of it in the house.  I decided to keep the candy bar in the dining room since it is really light weight, and our grand baby decided she wanted the gingerbread tree for her play house.

My dogs were very excited when they got their Christmas Bark bag this week.  Each month my golden poses with her box/bag before we open it.  The pictures always crack me up because she is so not a serious dog, but she always looks serious when she poses for the camera.

Here is our grandbaby's growing collection. She now in addition to her house, has a gingerbread tree, snowman, and new lantern.  :)  This has been so much making this for her.  I know she is too young to remember this many years in the future, so I think I might make this a yearly tradition.

Last week I shared what I was doing with my gingerbread bakery decorations.  In this picture you can see my tree, and one of the fake cookies I hang on the wall.  I love how everything is coming together.

Well it is getting late, so I better get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!!

It's Party Time! It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It's time to Dare to Share!

A lot of things have happened since the party last week.  Ohio State won the big game against Michigan. Yea! Go Bucks! You also got to love what Brutus our mascot did during the game, unless you root for U of M.  LOL!  Now I hope they beat Indiana this weekend in the Big 10 Championship game.  I started turning the dining room into a gingerbread bakery this week.  Last year after Christmas I got this pink flocked Christmas tree for only $18 on clearance.  I am loving the look of it. I will be sharing pics of my DIY decor this week. We have a bit more to put up both inside and outside.

Next to my tree I have my gingerbread nutcracker. I made this guy a couple of years ago and it is one of my favorite DIYs.

I have also been using a lot of my DIY Candy Props in my decor this year.  The cotton candy and lollipops are so cute and easy to make.

I hope you are staying warm where you live. It's very cold in Ohio this weekend. We want to do some of the Christmas events in our area this weekend, but might not if it stays in the 20s.  Brrrr!

Well it looks like it is time to get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It is Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. This year we are having three meals. Yesterday on Thanksgiving, we had Ds kids, and the grand baby over for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

I only took video of my table setting, so this is a screenshot of some of it. I used a lot of my Dollar Tree Thanksgiving decor from past years, which turned out so pretty. The meal turned out really well, and it was such a good day hanging out with the kids and grand baby.

I am decorating our house in a gingerbread bakery theme for Christmas this year.  I decided to make little one her very own gingerbread playhouse.  She loves it! I wallpapered the inside with gingerbread wrapping paper, and I used a roll of brown kraft paper on the outside. I made the lollipops, and everything else is from Dollar Tree. The only thing that wasn't from Dollar Tree is the gingerbread face paper plate which I got from Walmart.

Tonight we had our second traditional meal.  I made our leftover Thanksgiving Turkey Pizza. We love this pizza so much. I have to admit I look forward to it just as much as Thanksgiving dinner. It is really easy to make, and disappears very quickly at our house.

On Saturday we will be watching the Ohio State- Michigan game.  While I consider myself a dual citizen of both states since I lived in both for many years, I am 100% Buckeye when it comes to colleges.  I am a 2nd generation Ohio State alumni.  I am hoping for a good outcome this year.. Go Bucks!

Sunday we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with some more relatives, which will be our third special meal of the weekend. We may be turkeyed out by the time the weekend is over, but it is worth it.

Now that you know what I have been up to this week, I want to see what you have been up to.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy almost Thanksgiving Week!

I don't know where November went, but it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away.  I have to admit I'm guilty of Thankmas.  I am already in Christmas mode, and have been planning many Christmas projects. A few of those projects I hope to do this weekend. We will have decent weather tomorrow, so we are going to set up the outdoor decorations. I am also going to make a gingerbread playhouse for my grand baby out of a large box. My theme is gingerbread and sweet treats again this year, so her playhouse will fit right in. We saw a premade cardboard house for $50 recently and decided it will be more fun and less expensive to make it at home.

One of our favorite traditions at Thanksgiving is Leftover Thanksgiving Pizza.I make it every year and disappears quickly. I am getting hungry just thinking about it. :)

If you are looking for a fun snack this Thanksgiving, I am resharing another family favorite Turkey Sandwich Snacks. They are cute, colorful, and healthy too.

If you are looking for some fun Thanksgiving crafts, you may like my post Thanksgiving Turkey Crafts. It's a round up of easy turkey crafts that I have made in the past like these napkin rings made from a paper towel roll.

It is time to get this party started. I would love to see what you have been up to this week.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

Were you able to see the Northern lights this week?  We were about to see some in southern Ohio. They were visible a bit by the naked eye, but looked even better on the phone.

I did not mention this at last week's party, but I did something very exciting last weekend.  Can you tell who we saw in concert?  If you guessed the Jonas Brothers, you would be right! I have liked their music for years, and was very excited to see them in concert in Columbus.  At the concert we found out that they were also releasing a Christmas movie this weekend on the Disney Channel today. (11/14) I already watched it, and will definitely watch it again. If you love silly, fun, Christmas movies with good music you will want to see it.

I am adding this picture just for fun. I get my dog's a Bark bag every month. When it arrives I have my dogs pose with the bag before we open it. Occasionally I get a big smile from my golden, but usually she has such a serious expression.  Once I open the bag for her treats and toys she has trouble containing her excitement. Do you have dogs that are silly like mine?

Well it is getting to be that time, so let's get his party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!!
