Last Week of School Chaos

The last week of school is already chaotic enough, but becomes even more so when you add in an unexpected injury.  It has happened once again. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and got hurt while standing still.  This time one of her classmates pushed open a big heavy door and it hit her hard in the foot.  It only hurt a little at first, but as time went on her pain became much worse.  We are pretty sure she has a broken big toe.   We saw a Dr yesterday who thought so too, but since he did not have a Doppler or X-Ray machine in the office he said to get it confirmed we would have to go to the ER.  Since there really isn't much they can do for a broken toe, and she has been to the ER a few too many times, we decided not to go. We are just treating it as if it is broken.  One of her dance teachers who has experience with broken toes showed her how to wrap it with medical tape. She also has it protected with an Ace Bandage type of wrap, and a surgical shoe (which she got before she got the walking boot last year).  Tomorrow will be a bit of a test since it is field day at school.   Should be an interesting day!
