It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.  I'm sorry there was not a party last week. I was so busy, that I forgot it was Friday, and did not realize it until Sunday.  Then a few days days ago, I posted a holiday message, but I am not sure it posted. If you missed it, you can see it here.

We have been having fun this last week, doing a lot of Christmas activities.  We went to see Winterfest at Kings Island, the Christmas House in Piqua, and went to a family Christmas Party.

We are spending time with family, and enjoying the holiday season.   Our grand baby loves here new Bluey.

Well it is getting late, and I better get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!!

Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays!

I'm sorry I flaked on the Dare to Share Party this past Friday. I have been so busy I forgot what day it was, and realized I missed the party on Sunday. 🤦 Since it was already a few days late, I figured we would just skip last week and I would post one this upcoming Friday.

Here are some of a few things I have been up to this past week, and why I have been so busy.

When I was visiting my family and friends in Michigan, I visited the holiday alley in Howell.  It is always decorated in a different theme by the store owners.  There had just been a big snowfall, which made it look even more festive.

We also attended an 80th birthday for someone close to us.

During the week, we had the grand baby over a few times. I did try the viral wrapping paper photo shoot with her.  I do have a few keeper photos, but she was not really sure what thought about the paper and kept ripping it.  She wanted a picture of Snowy the snowmand while she wandered off to play.

Her gingerbread play house has been a huge hit this year. She loves it. She wasn't sure what she thought of it at first, but now she goes right in and brings out her gingerbread toys.

This past Friday was my holiday party at work. Each one of us picked a color. We wore PJs in the color we chose, and also brought snacks in that color.  My color was pink. I brought pink chocolate covered popcorn, pink wafter cookies, pink Sour Patch kids, and pink strawberry lemonade.  It was a lot of fun, and there was way more food and sweets than we could even think to eat.

This past Saturday we had a family Christmas party with D's family.  We played a few games, and had a lot of holiday food.  Each year Santa visits, and gives gifts to the kids in attendance.

On the way home from the party, we stopped to see the Christmas house. It is known for it's blow molds and festive lights. It is really neat to see in person. We will definitely go see it again.

While there I met Santa.  I asked him if I could take a picture with him, so I could show my grand baby that I have met him in person. He said definitely, and then gave me a cool coin to give to her from him.

On Sunday we went Christmas shopping, and then to Winterfest at Kings Island. I love all the lights at Winterfest.  I wish I had these gingerbread characters for my own house since I decorate in a gingerbread theme.  It was a lot colder than we thought it was going to be, but it was still fun!

Now we are just two days from Christmas, and still have so much to do.   I probably should eat some lunch, and start wrapping presents, because I have not even started yet.

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Let's Dare to Share

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

How is December almost half over already!  This weekend we are visiting family and friends in Michigan again. I also hope we can do some Christmas shopping, because there is still so much that needs to be done in the next two weeks.  I just loved this white nutcracker we saw today.

Most of our decorations are up, but not all.  I have decorated outside, but we still do not have our lights up on the house.  I need some help from D who is much taller than me with the ladder etc.. I am barely over 5 feet, and he is a foot taller. It's much easier for me to decorate closer to the ground.  I did have a few more things on the front porch but it was really windy recently and I took some of it in the house.  I decided to keep the candy bar in the dining room since it is really light weight, and our grand baby decided she wanted the gingerbread tree for her play house.

My dogs were very excited when they got their Christmas Bark bag this week.  Each month my golden poses with her box/bag before we open it.  The pictures always crack me up because she is so not a serious dog, but she always looks serious when she poses for the camera.

Here is our grandbaby's growing collection. She now in addition to her house, has a gingerbread tree, snowman, and new lantern.  :)  This has been so much making this for her.  I know she is too young to remember this many years in the future, so I think I might make this a yearly tradition.

Last week I shared what I was doing with my gingerbread bakery decorations.  In this picture you can see my tree, and one of the fake cookies I hang on the wall.  I love how everything is coming together.

Well it is getting late, so I better get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!!

It's Party Time! It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It's time to Dare to Share!

A lot of things have happened since the party last week.  Ohio State won the big game against Michigan. Yea! Go Bucks! You also got to love what Brutus our mascot did during the game, unless you root for U of M.  LOL!  Now I hope they beat Indiana this weekend in the Big 10 Championship game.  I started turning the dining room into a gingerbread bakery this week.  Last year after Christmas I got this pink flocked Christmas tree for only $18 on clearance.  I am loving the look of it. I will be sharing pics of my DIY decor this week. We have a bit more to put up both inside and outside.

Next to my tree I have my gingerbread nutcracker. I made this guy a couple of years ago and it is one of my favorite DIYs.

I have also been using a lot of my DIY Candy Props in my decor this year.  The cotton candy and lollipops are so cute and easy to make.

I hope you are staying warm where you live. It's very cold in Ohio this weekend. We want to do some of the Christmas events in our area this weekend, but might not if it stays in the 20s.  Brrrr!

Well it looks like it is time to get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!
