It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!
Have you ever done an escape room? My son treated us to one last Saturday as a birthday present. Due to the time that was available, we had to do the hardest room. We were not sure what to do at first, but we started to find the clues. We did have to ask for a few clues along the way, but we finally figured it out. Unfortunately we were still on the last step when time ran out. If we had only 5 more minutes we would have made it. It was fun enough that I would like to do an escape room again. One thing that I did like about where we went is they do not actually lock you in, in case of emergencies. It is less stressful knowing that you can get out if you need to.
On Sunday when we got back from Michigan, I took down my Halloween decorations. My skeletons look like they have been through some things.
When I put up my skeletons they looked like this. I had a purple and cute Halloween theme this year so my baby grand daughter would not be scared. I attached them to the rain gutter with zip ties to make it look like they were climbing up the house. They were out in the elements for just a little over a month. We had several very hot days, at least 4 rainy days, and a few windy ones thrown in there too. They definitely look a bit spookier after Halloween than they did before. I am in the planning stages of my Christmas decorations. I would love to start putting things up now, but D has asked me to wait until a little closer to Thanksgiving. I do have a few projects that I will be working on until then.
One project I wish I was working on is this 6 foot tall nutcracker that is available at Walmart. It's a bit more than I want to spend right now, and we don't really have the storage space. Maybe next year!
I do have a themed picked out for my Christmas decor though, and this is a hint. What do you think it will be?
Well it is almost midnight, so I want to get the party started. You have seen what I have been up to this week, I would love to see what you have been doing. Link up and HAVE FUN!

Personally, I think nutcrackers are as scary as any Halloween decorations! Those big teeth and the fact that their main purpose is to bite the heck out of you! I redid our old Fall wreath to add dark barn red, golden yellow and royal purple ~ liked it so much that I made a new Christmas wreath in those colors! Changed the flowers in the front to some tall dark red dianthus that (supposedly) bloom all winter to -40 degrees! and also golden yellow and purple pansies. I'll post a photo of the wreath when I'm done with Thanksgiving stuff. Thanks for sharing a slice of your life with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this party, Pam, enjoy your weekend.
