Super Bowl Party Food and Yummy Appetizers

As you may know if you follow my blog I am a huge football fan.  This year I am very excited about the Super Bowl, but it also giving me a dilemma.  Here is why...

I have three favorite quarterbacks. Joe Burrows of the Bengals who if from my home state and played at OSU, and these two. I also love Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady.  My boyfriend was so sweet and gifted me shirts for all three of them.   Now my dilemma.  I have NO IDEA how I can choose who to root for during the game.   Brady is the older goat, and Mahomes is the baby goat. I want both of them to win. Which team are you rooting for this weekend.

While you are watching the game, here are several food ideas if you are having a get together, or just enjoying with your family at home.

Here are a few more party recipes that I make that do not have their own post.

Party Meatballs

I make these super easy to make meatballs for birthdays, holidays, and pot lucks in my slow cooker.   All you need is a bag of frozen meatballs, bbq sauce, ketchup and grape jelly.  I don't have specific measurements on how much to put in, but guesstimate according to how much I am making.  Add a small bottle of bbq sauce, a few squirts of ketchup and a few spoonfuls of grape jelly on the frozen meatballs, and turn on the slow cooker.  I tend to cook on high heat for a few hours, because I do not remember to start them earlier.

Cheesy Bacon Tator Tot Skewers

These are also easy to make. I made them for a Super Bowl Party (which you can see here) but also on ordinary days. You can cook the tator tots in the air fryer or in the oven without the skewers, your preference. Once cooked let cool for a few minutes before putting them on the skewers. Lay them in a pan.  Add cheese, and bacon bits.  Bake in a 425 degree oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Easy Ham and Cheese Sliders

This is another family favorite that I make often.  I buy a package of Hawaiian rolls (I use Aldi brand because of the price). I slice through the rolls in one piece horizontally to make the sliders.  Add your favorite meat, cheese and condiments.  I use miracle whip and mustard on mine.  Once the top portion  of the rolls back in place, I brush on a little melted butter and occasionally some seasoning depending on my mood, and who is eating them.  In the bottom picture I used Italian seasoning.  I bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. My kids love when I make these for dinner. I have also served them at a birthday party, and graduation party.
