Labor Day weekend.  The end of the summer.  I truly do not know where the time went, and how it flew by so fast.  School for us starts on Tuesday. Once school starts the months start to go at a super fast pace, and before we know it, it will be the holidays and the New Year. Do you like to watch the Marvel movies? The last few weeks, I have been catching up on the ones I missed and so much more is making sense now. I love how they are all interconnected, and Stan Lee does a cameo in each one.  Tonight we saw the first Captain America.  (I already saw the 2nd and 3rd)  Which Marvel movie is your favorite?

I had a fun day with friends today.  Our country fair is winding down, so we spent a few hours checking out the exhibit and animals.  After that my friend had two free passes to a small movie theater in her town.  We saw Jurassic World in 3D (yes I saw I already saw it a few weeks ago, but she didn't.  Also... Chris Pratt.. LOL)

I had a busy week this week.  My mom was in town until yesterday.  We did some shopping, saw a movie (Jurassic World), and took a trip to Frankenmuth.  It was a great visit. Tonight I went to a local festival with a few friends, and just got home because we had a very competitive game of Scattergories after the festival. It is Friday night, and you know what that means... 

It is time to Dare to Share!! 

Did you have a nice 4th of July holiday?  Mine was pretty low key.  We had 7 days in a row with temps close to 100 degrees.  Yesterday (Thursday) was the hottest day of the year so far (96 degrees, with a heat index of 107)  Today the hot weather broke and we were a beautiful 79 degrees. Another nice thing that happened today was my mom came to visit and will be here for the next week.  She does not live close, so we do not get to see each other often enough..  

I am a little late getting the party started, because I spent the day and evening visiting with my mom..

It is Friday night, and you know what that means..

It is time to Dare to Share! 

So tonight was kind of interesting.. a good friend invited me over to hang out and watch a movie.  This is not unusual, but the movies we ended up watching were.  The movies could not have been more different.  The first movie we watched was Black Panther.  Neither one of us had seen it in the theater. It was actually really good, but on the violent side. The second movie we watched was Footloose (the remake, not the original)  Since both of us loved the original, we wanted to see if the remake measured up.  It was definitely a bit sillier and cheesier because times have changed so much, and the thought of  an entire town banning dancing now didn't make sense.  It wasn't believable in 1984, and even less so in 2011. (the year the remake was made)  There were some pretty big stars in it, (Dennis Quaid, Andie McDowell, and Miles Tillner) but it did not feel right without Kevin Bacon as Ren. 

Did you see the Footloose remake? 

It is getting late, so I need to get the party started. (Imagine confetti, and Kenny Loggins singing.. )

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..

It is time to Dare to Share! 

Wow, today is the first day of June! We are currently limping to the finish line for school. Just 4 1/2 days left!  I will be working until almost the very last day. The last two days I was in a 5th grade class with 33 eleven year olds who are definitely ready for summer break to start. You can feel the energy throughout the entire school school. I am sure that is the case pretty much everywhere.   My own daughter is ready for break too, but still has some projects she needs to finish. This week will also be extra busy, because a close friend's son is having his Eagle ceremony and graduation party in the upcoming week, and I am helping at both celebrations.

Do you have any celebrations you are attending in the next few weeks?
