I am super tired right now.. I am talking about I could go to sleep right this minute tired. Today was the first day of our second robotics meet. I was a long but fun day. Tomorrow I need to get Kyle up early so we can do it again. This time we did much better than our first meet, and we have a good chance of making it into the final elimination rounds. It would be nice to see because the boys worked so hard on their robot this year.
I may be tired, but it is still Friday..
and since it is Friday, you know what that means..
I have been having a very busy and stressful week. When I have weeks like this, there are two t things that I crave, chocolate and sweets. It seems everywhere you look on Thursday, you find Throwback Thursday pictures. Recently one of our restaurants in the Midwest called Olga's Kitchen took it one step farther. Each Thursday they are now offering some of their menu items at throwback prices.. Genius! Today it was 1991, and we could get a Orange Cream Cooler for only $1.75 and a few other items for several dollars off. We also enjoyed listening to early 90s music. It's hard to believe it has already been 23 years!
Since today was all about saving money for me, I thought my post How to Save Money on Groceries from January 2013, would be a good one to throwback to. In this post I shared my tips on how to realistically use coupons, and save money on food for your family. If you would like to save at least 30% on your food bill, be sure to check it out.

Where are you Spring? Certainly not in Michigan where we woke up with an inch of new snow on the ground, and record cold temps today. Brrr... This pretty Toolbox Centerpiece by Cathy of Vintage Paint and More makes me think of Spring. The flowers, flower pots and baby bird, are all things that I really look forward to seeing again. Making a Spring themed centerpiece may be the only way it will feel like Spring around here. Be sure to check out Vintage Paint and More to see this Toolbox Centerpiece and other fun crafts. While it says that it is Spring on the calendar, we have yet to have the warmer temps were I live. It was only 16 degrees this morning when the kids went to school. Brrr! One thing that I am really looking forward to in the upcoming months are the warm nights, and the return of the fireflies. One of my fondest childhood memories was catching fireflies with my cousins at my grandma's house. These DIY Light Up Fireflies by Kid Pep, are not only cute, but a great activity to do with your kids. They are made from plastic Easter eggs, which can pretty much be found about anywhere right now. Be sure to stop over and check out Kid Pep, for these DIY Fireflies, and other fun kid's activities. Thank you so much for linking up to Dare to Share!

Having two girls, we have A LOT of nail polish at our house. I seriously have no idea how many bottles I could find. I know I have seen a least a few bottles in pretty much every room in the house, with the exception of my son's room. As you can imagine, with that much nail polish, I had to check out Fluster Buster's 32 Unusual Uses for Nail Polish. I knew a few of the tips on the list, but there are some I never heard of before. If you have a lot of nail polish as well, because sure to check out Fluster Busters Unusual Tips post. Thank you so much Robin for linking up to Dare to Share!

In honor of the first day of Spring and the hope that flowers will be again blooming soon, today's Throwback Thursday post is a favorite from last Spring, My daughter made this in a Crafting with Kara tutorial as a school project on upcycling. Everyone love it, and she even sold a couple to people who asked her to make them one too. You can see how she make this colorful hanging wall flower on her post Hanging Rainbow Flower

I was talking to a Blogger friend of mine recently, and she mentioned that she likes to have Flashback Fridays to share an older post with newer readers. I have been blogging on this site for three years now. (plus another 18 months on another site) I have a lot of older posts that probably have not been seen by people who are new to my blog. I have decided to try the Throwback Thursday trend here, and show my most popular post as my first Throwback. I shared this recipe for Pepperoni Pizza Casserole during my first year of this blog in 2011. I thought that this would be a great post to revisit. It is a fun family dinner recipe, that my entire family loved. If you think it might be something your family might enjoy, be sure to check out the recipe.

When having a party, one of the biggest things to plan is the party food. One thing that make the LEGO movie unique is that they travel from land to land while trying to escape Lord Business's army. Having many lands in the movie, really expands the possible food choices.
