March Madness Party Supplies from the Dollar Store

When planning a Basketball March Madness Party, you need some basketball themed decor.  I am so excited about my recent trip to the dollar store..  Yes, I said dollar store.. Whenever planning a party, that is the first place that I go because you never know what you might find.

I wish I had better light for my pictures, but it was a dark and dreary day.  I was also too impatient to wait until a sunny day to share all of these great supplies.

This is how it looked out my window at 2 p.m. gray, rainy, and just blah..   on the plus side, at least it was not snowing again!

The first thing that I found when I walked in the door were these basketball themed Easter Baskets.  I could see them filled with party favors.

I found the basketballs in the toy section, and the orange pots in the garden section. I am thinking of drawing a basketball pattern on the pots with a sharpie, or using electrical tape that can be removed.  They are a great size to hold treats, or  possibly used  in a basketball themed centerpiece.

These basketball themed magic towels would make a great party favors. I also just realized that they come in different patterns. They could also be strung together into a basketball themed banner.  I also found orange bowls, and plates in the dish aisle.  I have not decided yet what I am going to do with them, but I am sure it will be easy to come up with something.

These mini rubber basketballs were also in the toy aisle.  They could be used as favors, or possible decorations.  They bounce really well, so they could be fun to give to the kids to play with when the party is done.

I bought everything in this post for only $13..  Not too bad for enough supplies to decorate an entire basketball themed table.  Party supplies do not have to be expensive to be fun.

  1. Gotta love the Dollar Tree! We always go there for party paper plates and napkins. They used to carry basketball (or sports themed) ones!
    Thanks for the reminder!!
