It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It's time to Dare to Share!

If you are looking for some last minute DIYs, I finally posted the projects that I made for this Halloween.  You can see what I made on this post here.

I added a couple new listings for Halloween in my Etsy Shop. If you need a Take One Please or an Out of Treats sign you might want to check them out.

I am just adding this picture, because it was a beautiful pink sunset.

Do you dress up for Halloween?  I do, and I have my costume.  It's going to be a popular costume this year, because it's part of something that is coming in November.  That is my clue, do you know what I am going to be?  I am DIYing part of my costume, which I will post here once I am finished with it.

Now that you know what I have been up to, I would like to see what you have been doing.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Easy Last Minute Halloween DIYS

Last year I made a cute last minute ghost candy basket that got a lot of compliments, and held a lot of candy.  This year I updated DIY to incorporate the pink Halloween trend.

This ghost lantern is very easy to make. I used a Dollar Tree lantern and a package of their flexible cutting boards. I cut the cutting boards to fit the lantern and added a the face and ribbon.  It's perfect for our purple Halloween theme I am doing this year.

This year there has been a viral trend using spackle on a canvas in the shape of ghost. They are really easy to make, and can be adapted to whatever colors you want. I shared how I made these on both Instagram and TIK TOK.  My grand baby loves the bright ghosts.  :)

Another trend that has been going on the last few years is making a ghost painting.  People have been buying painting and then adding spooky scenes.  I like to do this trend on a budget.  I buy my canvases at the Dollar Tree. I made these two for my bathroom.  They make me smile every time I see them.  I also made a few other canvases his year which you can see here, and here.

Since I am doing a purple non scary Halloween for my grand baby, I wanted to make a cute ghost sign.  I found the large ghost and ghost ornaments at the Dollar Tree.  This is mama ghost and all her ghost babies who represent someone in our family. The purple bows make the ghosts more cute than scary.

I love the bleach your own T shirts trend. This year I made this cute skeleton shirt.

My main display on our front porch is my giant purple ghost that made from covering one of our porch leaners. You can see how I made it on Instagram and TIK TOK. I may add a few more Halloween DIYs this season, but I am also starting to think ahead to Christmas.

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It's time to Dare to Share!

We had a very busy, and fun time last weekend. If you live in the Midwest your probably have hear of the Kings Island amusement park. During the fall, they open every weekend with a Halloween Haunt.  The weather this fall has been much warmer than normal, so we have already been to two haunts. It has been pretty crowded though, so we have not been able to ride many rides. They also open in mid November to the end of December for Winterfest.  This time of year is also fun with all the Christmas lights, decorations and ice skating on the  fountain.

On Sunday it was another gorgeous warm day. We went to the Ohio Renaissance Festival. It was also extremely crowded, but fun.

Today my pups got their new Bark Bag. I make them pose with the bag before we open it every month.  Today's picture cracked me up.

My golden is usually very smiley, but today she had such a serious expression while posing. She quickly went back to smiling when I opened the bag and she got her new toys.  She loves the toys, and her sister loves the treats.

I still need to post my Halloween DIY post. It will go up this weekend.  Here is another one of this year's DIYS that will be in the post. I am loving the pink and purple Halloween trend this year.

Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It's time to Dare to Share!

This past week was a busy one.  We visited with friends and family in Michigan, then on Sunday we went to an Oktoberfest in Ohio to meet with friends that D has known for years.  When were near the Michigan State campus, I got a picture of their Spartan themed McDonalds.  I don't know what it looks like inside, but I would like to see it some day.  I am still very much a Buckeye, but my son is a Spartan so I like them too.

During the first weekend in October, the population of Minster, Ohio multiples many times over.  They host a very popular Oktoberfest and parade which we try to go to every year. D has been meeting his friends there for over 40 years.  This year the weather  was gorgeous!! There have been years we are freezing wearing heavy coats, this time we were wearing shorts and t-shirts.

Tonight I worked on several easy Halloween DIYs that I will be posting on Monday. I am going with a purple and girly Halloween theme because of my grand baby. She is only one,  and not quite ready for a scary Halloween. I am loving how things are turning out.  Look for that post in the next few days.

I just recently posted a new Halloween Hunt in my Etsy Shop. I had a lot of fun with this one. Kids look for missing Halloween candy that was taken by a spooky character.

If you posted on last week's party, you may have been wondering what I meant last week about having issues with my computer.  When I got on the computer last Friday, I could not find any of my files or pictures. I knew there were still on computer, but I could not find them. It had something to do with my computer restarting, and me not being in the right email. D figured things out and it's all good again.

I hope you had a great week.  It's Michigan weekend so I am getting the post up a little bit late.   I will be visiting friends and family tomorrow and then on Sunday will be stopping by an Oktoberfest.

Since it is late, and I am having some trouble with my computer, I am going to go ahead and get this party started.  Link Up and HAVE FUN!

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It is Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

This week I found the cutest Christmas at Walmart. I really want to get him, but he is not in my budget this week. I did put him in my basket for a reel and put him in my LTK Store

I have been working on several Halloween DIYs, a couple are finished, a couple should be finished soon. We were busy this week going to the Kings Island Haunt, spending time with the grand baby and working. I am also working on a new Halloween Treasure Hunt for my Etsy Shop that needs to be posted ASAP.

One of my Halloween DIYs this season were a couple new bleached T shirts.  I used this cute Dollar Tree skeleton on this shirt. I love how it turned out, and I am wearing it while I type.  I will be posting how it turned out!

Now that you know what I have been up to, I would love to see what you have been up to.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

It was a busy week this past week.  We had great weather for the  baby's birthday party.  At the last minute a few people were not able to make it, but we did have a pretty good turn out.

I was not sure how we were going to display the flowers I mentioned last week when we were at the shelter house.  We ended up  attaching  yarn on the back of the flower and tying  them to the support beams.

One of her presents were these pastel balls for a ball pit.  Here mom found these cardboard and cellophane boxes and filled them with the balls.

She was not sure what she thought of her smash cake. She cried at first and then left most of it on the tray of her high chair.

We had fun wearing these headbands that the party.  😂

On Sunday I got together with a friend of mine from college.  I had not seen her for 25 years.  After our lunch, I saw this mural.  We were at a small shopping area with colorful murals on the walls.  I thought it was so cute, I had to take a picture.

I have been posting videos on Instagram and TIK TOK with Halloween reels, DIYs, and Dollar Tree finds if you would like to follow me over there.

Now that you know what I have been up to, I would love to see what you have been up to.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

It literally is party time for our family.  This weekend the grand baby is having her 1st birthday party.   I am assisting with the party, and allowing her mom do most of the planning.  Little one loves the Cuddle Bugs books, and the animals in them. She especially loves the bumblebees and lady bugs.  The weather is supposed to be warm and sunny, and we are having the party outside.  I made these giant flowers from Dollar Tree paper plates.  They are super easy and inexpensive to make.  I will be sharing a post on how to make them after the party.

Last weekend the weather was really nice and we stopped by a sunflower farm while in Michigan. We came across a very unusual sunflower.  It was bent over from the weight. On the front of the flower it looked normal, on the back it had several tiny sunflowers all on the same stem. Has anyone seen a flower like this before?

Here is another crazy thing that we saw.  The main flower had become too heavy, and fell to the ground. Two small sunflowers started growing out the the fallen stems and were standing upright.  The will of those flowers to keep growing was pretty cool to see.

Since we have an early morning, and busy day tomorrow let's get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It"s Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

It's been a busy week since my last post. Over Labor Day weekend we went to Kings Island to say good-bye to one of our favorite rides Boo Blasters on Boo Hill. This ride is an interactive video type game where you shoot at targets, and try to get the most points in your car. Every time we rode Boo Blasters, we tried to beat each others score.  They were closing down the ride permanently on September 1st to recreate it as another ride.  We waited in line for an hour and then when it was finally our turn we got a car where only one of the three blasters were working correctly.  It was fine though, we still had a good time and got to have a memorable ride. We look forward to the what the new ride will be when it reopens in the spring.

Another thing that I have been up to lately is I am helping put together my grand babies 1st birthday party.  She loves the Cuddle Bug Books, so her mom wants to use the characters and flowers as the theme. I have been picking things up at the Dollar Tree for the last few months in case we need them for the party.  Most of the items will be used.  Due to the size of the party we are having it at a local park.  We are hoping the weather cooperates.

This weekend we are visiting family and friends in Michigan. It is finally feeling like fall with temps only in the 60s.  How is the weather where you live?

Since it is getting late, I need to get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

One thing that I did not share last week was the day after our vacation, D had to have surgery.  It was something that was scheduled, and a big reason why we went on our vacation when we did.  After about a week of recovery, he is starting to feel much better. We are finally getting back into our usual routine.  While I did not get as done as I would have liked over last weekend, I did make some ghost art using Dollar Tree pictures.  I think the one posted above is my favorite.  They are very easy and inexpensive to make. If you buy the pictures at Dollar Tree (near that picture frames) and use paint markers, you can have some fun Halloween art to display.

Are you ready for college football to start?   We are very excited about the Ohio State - Texas game on Saturday.  Having one of our biggest games on the year, the very first game is a bit unusual, but hopefully it will be the start of a great season for us. (GO BUCKS!)  If you want to make an easy treat while watching a game or hosting a football party, I posted how to make these football pops several years ago. I don't have the supplies to make them for this weekend's game, but I will have to be sure to make them again soon.

Well it is getting to be that time again, so let's get this party started.   I would love to see what you have been up to, so link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Last week I shared that I did not know where we were going to go on out vacation the night before we were due to leave.  We finally did figure out at least what direction we were going the morning we were leaving.  We decided to go to NE Ohio.  Our first stop was Sugarcreek, Ohio. Sugarcreek is a cute little town, with the worlds largest cuckoo clock. It is in Amish country and considered the Little Switzerland of Ohio.  They are known for their cheese. The woman who took this picture of us worked for a nearby store and gave us a coupon for some free cheese. We were hungry for lunch, so we picked up our free cheese and some yummy salads at her store. D loves trains and bought us tickets to go on a nearby Roundhouse Steam Engine tour. He enjoyed the tour a bit more than me, but that's okay, because our next stop was right up my alley.

Canton, Ohio was not too far away from where we were, and that happens to be the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  I love football, and the museum was so much fun.  They have a really cool experience were you see holograms of famous past players with a 3D effect like you are in a football locker room.  Joe Namath was the main narrator, and the entire thing was really inspiring.  When we finished up at the Pro Football Hall of Fame we decided to drive up to Conneaut, Ohio. It is small beach/lake town in the most far east corner of Ohio. We know someone who used to live there, and he recommended with visit it. We were surprised when we got that the population of the town was way bigger than normal.  They were having a war reenactment with thousands of visitors.  We then found out that between the reenactment and the Morgan Wallen concert at the Browns stadium in Cleveland, a hotel was very hard to come by in all of NE Ohio.

We finally found a room in Warren about 30 minutes outside of Cleveland.  That next morning we decided to head into Cleveland and visit the Christmas Story house.  The house is in a small neighborhood. It had several buildings around it that included a BnB, museum, gift shop and small pub. The craziest thing about the tour is I was standing in line right beside a woman who was from my town where I lived at in Michigan, and her kids went to the school I used to teach at.  We were 4+ hours from our town in Michigan, so it was definitely a small world moment.   Once we were done with the tour,  we headed over the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

While I took a lot of photos at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, I am not going to post them.  There were several signs that said you were welcome to take pictures for personal use only.   I do not want to risk getting in trouble for posting photos on my blog.  I will say if you go and are a Bon Jovi fan, you need to go to the 6th floor to the Bon Jovi Forever exhibit.  That floor was amazing!  They so many cool exhibits with outfits, guitars, and other items from so many of our favorite bands and musicians.  They currently are having a SNL music exhibit with a really interesting and fun movie talking about back stories about many of the music acts that have been on the show.

Our next stop was to drive over to Put In Bay to check it out.  It was getting late in the day, and it was too late to take a ferry to the island so we decided to go some place else instead.

We have all park passes from Kings Island, so we were able to get into Cedar Point for free.  That night was their last special Boardwalk Night, and the last night they were open to 10 pm.  Our passes include food, so we picked up some dinner and enjoyed the party on the Boardwalk.  We went back on Monday, and spent a full day riding roller coasters and enjoying the park.  I actually even rode the new coaster Sirens Curse.  I was anxious standing in line, but it was so much fun! I would definitely ride it again.  You can see reels about our trip on both Instagram  and Tik Tok

This weekend I am working on Halloween DIYS so you should start seeing them on the blog soon!

Well now that you know what I have been up to this week, I would love to see what you have been up to.  Link up and HAVE FUN!
