It's Time to Dare to Share!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Tonight we are in Michigan and attended the Friday night dance with our friends. It was a lot of fun. For Valentine's Day we plan to eat at one of our favorite Michigan restaurants, and then visit with my adult kids who still live in the state.

At work today, we celebrated Valentine's Day with the kids. In the classrooms I work, we had 11 toddlers and 2 babies.  I gave one of the babies this really cute bear, and used this listing from my Etsy Shop. He loved it! I also made goody bags with bag toppers and valentines for the toddlers. It was like herding cats when trying to have all the two year olds pass out their valentines.  They all had a good time, and that's what matters.

Last weekend during the Super Bowl I made air fryer stuffed mushroomsparty meatballs, and cheesy tator tot skewers for the game. Everything is pretty easy to make, and disappears quickly. Do you have any special recipes you make for big events or parties?

I am just sharing this cute picture of my dog, because she was extra smiley and wanted her picture taken.

Well it is getting late, and I need to get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Well it's been another week!  On Monday I drove to work okay, but when I came out to go home my tire was completely flat. The low air light had been on a couple of days, but we forgot to put air in it over the weekend. As I backed out of my parking space, I could tell something was wrong. I got out to look, and I knew I was not going to be able to go home for a bit. I immediately called D and told him. He works about 15 minutes away from where I do, so he told me he would be there shortly to help. Unfortunately it was another freezing day in the 20s  so it was not a good day to have tire issues,.  He got there about 20 minutes later, and took out the donut tire. The spare tire jack was ] not the best, but he got it to work, and was able to take off the old tire and the spare on.  We then started driving toward the tire shop to get a new tire. His car was in front of mine. Almost immediately, I realized the donut tire was going flat too. I tried to get his attention, flashing my lights at him, and waving out the window, but he did not see me. I pulled into a gas station nearby, and called him.  Thankfully he did not get too far, and turned around.  There was an air pump there, and he was able to fill the donut enough that it was safe to drive.  We made it to the tire shop 15 minutes before they were going to close.  They got me right in,and replaced the tire. They said there was a small hole in the sidewall. Since I buy all my tires at that particular tire store, and pay a little extra for repair coverage, I was able to get a new tire for free. Not having to buy a new tire, did help make the evening a little better. We also stopped for some food, because it was already 6:30 and we were hungry.

This weekend will be fun one on TV!  Not only did the winter Olympics start, but it is also Super Bowl weekend.  We always look forward to both events. We will be having a small Super Bowl party on Sunday. I love having an excuse to eat fun snacks. :)  I still have the inflatable goal post field in the picture somewhere in the house. I will have to see if I can find it.  I do plan on setting up some snacks, and using some fun football finds that I bought at the Dollar Tree recently.

One of the snacks the family loves and always asks for are these Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms. The are very easy to make, and disappear quickly.

Another easy appetizer/snack that I like to make for parties are these cheesy tator tot skewers. I don't have a blog post with the recipe, but they also disappear quickly.

Now that you know what I have been up to, I would love to see what you have been up to.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It is Friday night, and you know what that means...
It is time to Dare to Share!

Did you survive Snowmageddon 2026?  I just realized that I forgot to post last the Dare to Share party last weekend, but in my defense we were preparing for the snow.  In my part of Ohio, we were expecting more than a foot of snow. Just to the south of us they were also expecting ice. Thankfully we only got snow where I live, but we got  A LOT of it. I think the total was about 15 inches in a day and a half.  I am used to a lot of snow from my years in Michigan, but that much is not common in my part of Ohio.   It took a few days to dig out, and schools have been closed all week. Not only because the snow and icy roads, but the wind chills close to 20 below.  Near where I work, we also had several water main breaks turning the roads in to sheets of ice

We had to make paths on the deck so the dogs would go out to use the bathroom. One of our dogs is elderly and has been finding it especially hard to go out in the snow.  The golden on the other hand is loving it.

The grand baby lives very close so she has been able able to visit us a couple of times this week. She is still loving and using the play house I made here. Earlier this week I decided to change it over to Valentines Day.  I had a bunch of felt hearts from the Dollar Tree that I attached around the playhouse.

Well that is what is new where I live. Next week will hopefully  be back to normal again.

Now you know what I have been up to this week, I want to see what you have been up to. Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Time to Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Have you heard about the 2016 trend that is going viral on social media right now?  Many people are looking back ten years to when times were more simple. I decided to jump on the trend myself. This is one of my favorite pictures of that year. This was my friendls golden retriever Cody, who I adored. We had a special bond, and he is the reason why I have my own golden retriever now.

This is my golden Brittany.

Here is another one of my favorite pictures of that year.  I think I had just gotten a hair cut and they gave me a blow out.

During 2016,there was also a big fad called Pokemon GO.  People would walk around with an app on their phone looking for Pokemon.  I made these Pokeball Treats during that time, and they were featured by People Magazine. That was very exciting.   Unfortunately for me that article that linked the recipe was  featured on the website the night before the opening of the summer Olympics in Rio.  The article was only on the page for a very short time.

My life has changed a lot in the last decade. I am going to start a new age decade later this year. While I do not like the number, I am less worried about this birthday than the one I had 10 years ago  My health is pretty stable right now. We are still tweaking my thyroid meds from having half of my thyroid removed last year, but hopefully my last med change will be the right one. My kids are grown, and all adults now.   I am in a good relationship, and have a grand baby.  These past ten years went quickly.

Now that you know what I have been up to this week, I would love to see what you have been up to. Link up and HAVE FUN!

It's Party Time! Let's Dare to Share!

It's Friday night, and you know what that means..
It is time to Dare to Share!

Happy Friday!

Can you tell we had a toddler in our house? LOL! We were gone for a week over the holidays, and when our grand baby came over for the first time after we got home, she went straight to the toys in her gingerbread playhouse.  After she got out her toys, we got our hugs.

She loves her playhouse. I am debating on leaving it as is, even though it is after Christmas, or updating it  for another holiday.

I am sharing photos of my girls, because they were excited to get their Bark Bag this month. They love when they get a new one in the mail.

Are you back into your regular routine yet? I went back to work on Monday. It was nice to be back, and I missed the kids while we were out for the holidays. We did already have an unexpected day off though. Someone in another classroom tested positive for Covid, so the center closed for deep cleaning for a day as a precaution mid week.  Thankfully everyone seems to be healthy.

I went to Walmart tonight, and saw all the Valentine's Day items on sale.  There were so many cute things that I am starting to get mood to move on to the next holiday.  I have been sharing some reels about  my Valentine's Day finds, on both Instagram and TIK TOK if you would like to follow along.  I am also hoping to add a few new items for Valentine's Day to my Etsy Shop.

Are you following the football playoffs for either college or pro teams?  Neither of our teams (Ohio State and the Cincinnati Bengals)  are in the playoffs since Ohio State lost to University of Miami last week, but we are pulling for Indiana.  I am also rooting for the Buffalo Bills.  We will see what happens.

Well it is getting to be that time to get the party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!

Let's Dare to Share!

It's the week after the holidays,
when you do not remember what day it is..
So Let's Dare to Share!

The last week was a very busy one.  I spent several days with my family.  The weather was CRAZY where we were. We went after Christmas shopping on the Saturday the 27th. It was an unseasonally warm day and it hit 80 degrees.  The very next day on Sunday, we had celebration with the family.  By the end of the evening, it was in the 20s.  Brrrr! It stayed cold until we left on the 30th.  We spent New Year's Eve in Michigan.  The drive north was good until we got about an hour from our final destination.  We had to drive through a pretty scary snow storm to make it the New Year's Eve dance.

Even with the bad weather, we had a pretty good turn out at the dance. We are not sure how much longer the dance will continue. They have to have a certain number of people attend for the dance to break even or make money.  Unfortunately, the dance has been losing money over the last year, and if the loss continues they may have to close.

We had made many friends at the dance over the years, so we hopefully it will continue for awhile longer.

Were you able to get any good after Christmas sales?  Walmart was at 75% off Christmas on Monday the 29th.  I bought this Christmas Bluey for my grand baby for under $6.  She LOVES it!

We got home from our trip the evening of January 1st. Since we don't really have much time off, we spent the last couple of days just relaxing and watching movies.  Because I have been so out of my routine, I totally forgot what day it was. I have been like that meme you might have seen online. I'm not sure what day it is, and full of cheese. I mentioned tonight to D that I needed to do my weekly blog party, and then I realized it was already Saturday!  Oops! I will be back to my regular routine starting Monday the 5th.

So with that, let's get this party started.  Link up and HAVE FUN!
