How We Spent Our Easter and Other News

As the kids get older, they really take the tradition of egg coloring seriously.  This year was no different.   Kyle, who I guess thinks he is too cool to color eggs sat out.  The girls and I didn't mind, that meant more eggs for us!

We also once again watched one of our favorite Easter movies while we colored our eggs. I think we ended up watching it 3 or 4 times all together in the last few days.

I love the kit we used this year. Our eggs were so bright and colorful. Kara loved them so much, she had a hard time choosing which ones we could peel for our deviled eggs.

Here are some of our favorites

The Easter Egg Buddies made another appearance at Easter dinner.   We enjoyed ham, two types of potatoes, asparagus,  broccoli, rolls, and deviled eggs.  I wanted to get a picture of the food before it disappeared.

We had also planned on going to church on Easter morning. My teeth had other plans.  I was already getting to bed a bit later than I wanted to since I had to prep the eggs for the Easter Bunny.  When I laid down, one of my teeth started to hurt. The pain kind of came out of the blue, and didn't let up. I was in pretty intense pain most of the night.  I remember seeing 5 a.m., so I was awake until at least then. The alarm went off at 8:30. (church was at 10)  I was still in a lot of pain and extremely tired so I knew I could not make through Easter service. Kyle was also dealing with a cold and wouldn't stop sniffling. Everyone was okay with mom going back to sleep for a few more hours  I found a few home remedies to try online that helped  ease the pain and called the dentist on Monday. Luckily they were able to fit me in for this afternoon.  I am not sure if a filling fell out, or if I had a cavity that I did not know about since it is has been awhile since I have been at the dentist. I guess I will soon find out..

And in other GOOD news.. We heard back from the rheumatologist today.  The abnormal blood test that my daughter had a few weeks ago was A FALSE POSITIVE.  The test they ran last week  came back in normal range, which means she does not have lupus!  Whew!

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
