As Seen on Tv- The Diet Version

A little over a month ago, I wrote a post about my personal project,  Countdown to Summer Slimdown.  This is the first time that I have really even had to try to lose weight.  I have been pretty blessed most of my life that I stayed at a healthy weight without much trying.  Things have changed in the last year or so.  I am now in my mid 40s, and my metabolism is now longer working at the same rate.  I have continued to eat like I always have, but now the pounds have been adding up.  In my first 5 weeks of attempting to lose weight, I did not lose but  gained a few pounds. I know part of the reason why is  I am not always eating in the way I should,  or exercising enough to burn excess  calories.

Two weeks ago, I saw an infomercial late at night.  I don't normally pay attention to claims on how to lose weight, or the "insane" exercise videos, but this time it  was different.

This time it was something that made a lot of sense to me.  It also made sense for me teen daughter who has  gained weight from a medication.  There is nothing to add to your food,  there are no pills to take. It is  safe for any age.     The concept behind the weight loss in  the Food Lovers program is how and when you eat.    I am a carb/sugar addict, and often will go hours without eatting.   I know this has not been good on my metabolism, and my body will often  go into starving mode.   To keep your metabolism burning  at its optimum rate, you need to eat healthy foods every few hours, so your body does not store your calories as fat.   What you get in the Food Lovers program are recipe books,  a 21 days to a better metabolism book, a what foods to eat together book and much more..  Basically you should eat a protein, slow carb and fast carb at the same time to keep your metabolism  where it should be.   I love that these books actually give you a long list of foods from each group to chose from, making the choices much easier.  There is also a food journal to keep track of what you are eating and when.  The premise behind that is if you keep track of what you ate, you can look back on good weeks and see what you did right. On bad weeks, you can see where you had a hard time, so you might not repeat the same choices.

To me it was worth it to try this program.  If it doesn't work, I can return it because there is a money back guarantee.   In the next few weeks, I will be sharing my results I have on this program.  I am hopeful that this is going to be what works for me!
