Teacher Gift Idea

I was Target tonight using a few coupons that were about to expire.  I decided to look around at the dollar spot, because they recently added some new items.   When I saw these colorful baskets, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them.   They were the perfect size for teacher gift baskets.  They come in a variety of colors, and the price is right too.

I used ribbon that recently bought from The Dollar Tree.  I often find pretty wire ribbon at the dollar store, and I love the price.     I really like wire ribbon  because it is easy to work with, and makes pretty bows.    In this step, I weaved the ribbon through each of the slots of the basket. I also found a variety of stationary type products in the Dollar Spot area.   I found some blank cards, to do lists, pencils and more in coordinating colors.   In the home/office area I found planners and calendars on clearance for only $2.48.

Other things that you can add to the basket are books, gift cards, or hobby items.  For a thank you gift last year,  I gave someone who really helped one of my children gift cards to Starbucks and a bookstore.  I told her after all the hard work she had done, she deserved to relax with good book and her favorite drink.  Gifts don't have to cost a lot to show that you care.

  7. Very cute idea. Love the colour of the baskets. I made summer bags (filled with snacks, sun screen, magazines, water bottles, etc) and the teachers love them. This would be fun to give too!
