Thanksgiving Turkey Candy Dish

Turkey crafts, Thanksgiving crafts, Candy Dish

With some basic crafting supplies, you can easily put together a Turkey Candy Dish that would put some fun and color into your Thanksgiving get together.  I was looking for my supplies for another craft when I came across the plastic bowls that I recently bought at the dollar store. You can find them in the dish aisle four for a dollar.

I used three and a half brown pipe cleaners to make the head. I started by folding one in half.  I then took the second one and wrapped it around the second one.  I then did the same with the third one.  I used the half of pipe cleaner to secure it where the neck would be. I then trimmed the pipe cleaners so they were all the same size.

I used hot glue to add google eyes, beak and snood. (and yes, I had to look it up!)  I used craft foam or the beak, but you can use felt, paper, or anything else you prefer.  I used red for the snood, mainly because I currently do not have red craft foam.

I then used hot glue to add the head to the front of the dish, and feathers to the back.  I found the a pack of the perfect Thanksgiving feathers at Michaels.  I then filled the dish with some pumpkin mallows that I bought last month.
