Bunny Cookies

Last night I decided to make a fun treat for the kids to enjoy today. I recently bought some Nutter Butters on sale for only $2.50.  I thought they would be perfect to make some Easter Bunny Cookies.

I used Nutter Butter cookies, Wilton white candy melts, square marshmellows, and Wilton heart sprinkles. I was going to use the pastel wafers too, but they ended up being to big on the bunny face.

To make the ear shapes I used an egg shaped cookie cutter. When the cutter did not go all the way through, I used kitchen shears to quickly cut out the shape.  I then used a pink edible marker to draw on the pink part of the ear.

I dipped the Nutter Butters in the melted candy melts

I laid the cookies on the wax paper and attached the marshmellow ears and heart nose.  I used Wilton squeeze bottle with melted chocolate to draw on the eyes and mouth.  I could use a little practice with the squeeze bottle.  Luckily my kids do not care that the smiles  are a little lopsided.

Ready for hungry children to enjoy!
